American Councils for International Education Latvia opened its office in the capital city of Riga in 2015. Situated on the Baltic Sea where the River Daugava meets the coast, Riga is Latvia's largest city and home to nearly 700,000 residents, making up a third of the country's population. It also holds the title of the biggest city in the Baltic states.
